Summer Reading - Book 2

Book 1 was “I Was Told There’d Be Cake” by Sloan Crosley. I really wanted to like it but it was just ok. Not nearly as funny as I was hoping for. And especially since I am a female in my 20’s living in a big city, just like Crosley, her work didn’t seem original enough to keep me interested.

But Book 2 – “Love Walked In” by Marisa De Los Santos was soooo much better. Just what I was looking for to get back into the reading swing of things. It’s a little heftier than chick lit but with enough emotional cheesiness at the end to satisfy me.

Next up…Book 3 – “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
