Gloam is defined as “the time of day immediately following sunset”, or twilight. By this time of year it comes around 7ish and is marked by the most delicious light – the low, honey colored light, that brings with it a stillness where everything slows down for a while and the crickets can be heard over the usual city din. I love this time of day b/c the light fills the entire house and it makes me feel all warm, cozy and rested inside. And that sums up my Labor Day Weekend this year. Except for a few frenzied moments, it ended as quietly as it began.
